Dr. Nan Wang
I received my Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Chongqing University in China. During my Master’s degree, I worked on the conversion of biomass to reducing sugars in ionic liquids. During my PhD, I worked with Professor Laurence Weatherley on phase transfer catalysis reactions. The purpose of this project was to intensify phase transfer catalyzed reactions at a liquid-liquid interface in the presence of an externally applied electrical field. In my spare time, I like watching movies and traveling. After completing my PhD at KU, I accepted an industry position in New Jersey.
Ph.D. in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering- Chemical focus, University of Kansas, 2021
