Biography

Mr. Mohrbacher is a consulting petroleum engineer with more than 30 years of experience working in the petroleum industry as a reservoir, production, and facilities engineer. He has worked with enhanced oil recovery (EOR) since he completed his graduate work in 1980 at the Tertiary Oil Recovery Program (TORP) at the University of Kansas. He worked for Amoco Production Company from 1980 to 1986 and was the project manager for design and implementation of the first CO2 flood in Wyoming in the Wertz Tensleep reservoir. He worked on small and large capital projects in all segments of the petroleum industry (E&P, pipelines, gas plants, refineries and chemical plants) following his work at Amoco. Mr. Mohrbacher was Director of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute (EORI) at the University of Wyoming from 2010 to July 2014, where he managed a multi-disciplinary staff of 18 including geologists, chemists, geophysicists, and engineers. He has managed implementation of EOR projects including use of CO2, steam, polymer, and alkaline/polymer/surfactant (ASP) injection.
