Biography

Gene Tunison retired from ExxonMobil in 2012. He was Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs and Research Planning, ExxonMobil Refining & Supply Company, a position he had held from 2005. He had global responsibility for regulatory advocacy and for planning research and development activities that supported the Refining and Supply Company. Tunison started his ExxonMobil career in 1976 at Exxon Research and Development Laboratories in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He held technical and management positions in several organizational units of Exxon and ExxonMobil. Tunison has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1976) and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas (1972). He and his wife Sheryl currently reside in Oakton, Virginia.
