Danish Tarar

Danish Tarar currently serves as President of Ascendant Energy, a Reservoir Engineering consulting firm he founded in 2021. In his current role, he is involved with performing in-depth analysis of acquisition opportunities, quantifying well-performance, evaluating secondary recovery opportunities and conducting reservoir characterization for a diverse range of clients. Prior to Ascendant, he was with Chesapeake Energy supporting responsibilities in the South Texas Business Unit. During his time at Chesapeake, he has worked multiple assets spanning Mid-Continent and Texas in reservoir and production engineering roles. He also performed reservoir and waterflood engineering responsibilities at Berexco LLC, supporting conventional assets across Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma. Mr. Tarar earned his MBA from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with highest distinction from University of Kansas with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. He is also a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Oklahoma. Mr. Tarar is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, most recently serving as the Chairperson for the Oklahoma City Section.
