Reza Barati Joins List of World's Top 2% Scientists

Stanford University, using data from Elsevier’s Scopus, has compiled a list of the world’s top 2% scientists based on their citations excluding self-citations. The list was updated in September 2022. With more than 9.7 million scientists included in the study, 195,605 individuals represent the top 2%.

The update increased the number of current KU Engineering faculty on the list from 16 to 21. From our department, Reza Barati joins Cory Berkland, Steve Gehrke, Trung Nguyen, Mark Shiflett, and Bala Subramaniam on this prestigious list.

School of Engineering Dean Arvin Agah wants to congratulate Reza and the others on this impressive achievement. He thanks this entire group for their dedication to scholarly efforts. They are indeed helping us raise the research profile of the School of Engineering.
