Alumnus Daniel G. McCartney named AIChE Fellow

Dr. Susan Williams and Advisory Board Member Kent Pennybaker are thrilled to announce that alumnus Daniel G. McCartney was named an AIChE Fellow earlier this year.

Mr. McCartney earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1969. During his long and distinguished career, he has been responsible for multiple patents and dozens of publications relating to his research in gas processing, refrigerants, and liquids from liquefied natural gas. He is further the author of "Fundamentals of Natural Gas Processing," currently in its third edition (with Art Kidnay and Bill Parrish).

About the fellowship, "Fellow is AIChE's highest grade of membership and is achieved only through election by the AIChE BOD, generally upon recommendation of the AIChE Admissions Committee through whom all nominations for election to Fellow are processed.

Fellows are an important resource for AIChE in providing experience-based guidance to leadership and members, as well as contributing to the activities of many AIChE entities.  See the Fellows Newsletters and Archived Fellows Council Reports for details" (from AIChE's website).

Congratulations to Dan McCartney for receiving this prestigious honor!
