Summary

Nijat Hakimov was a Master’s student in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Kansas. His research focused on characterization of rocks with a wide range of pore sizes, such as carbonates, and combines Pore-Network Modeling with Machine Learning techniques to study their electrical and transport properties. As a part of his research, Nijat worked on the development of algorithms and workflows for subsurface characterization at the micro and macro scales. Before joining the University of Kansas, he worked for more than 2 years as Petroleum and Reservoir Engineer for BP and SOCAR in Azerbaijan. Nijat holds BSc degree (with honors) in Petroleum Engineering from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. He completed his Master's of Science in Petroleum Engineering in the summer of 2019.
