Dr. Stevin Henry Gehrke to Receive the Chancellors Club Career Teaching Award

KU announced that Chemical & Petroleum Engineering Professor Dr. Steven Henry Gehrke is the recipient of KU’s Chancellors Club Career Teaching Award.

Dr. Gehrke, along with 16 faculty members from the Lawrence and KU Medical Center campuses, will be honored at the University Teaching Awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Jayhawk Welcome Center. All members of the KU community are invited to RSVP for the event, which will feature a reception and awards program.

Organized in 1977, the Chancellors Club Career Teaching Award is presented annually to a longstanding KU professor whose career exemplifies best the commitment of the university to outstanding teaching and the long-term success of students. 

The Chancellors Club Career Teaching Award is made possible through funds provided to the KU Endowment Association by members of the Chancellors Club at the University of Kansas.
